Segregation 60

APD joined hands with the Mangaluru City Corporation to initiate this project to conduct awareness campaign in 60 wards within the Mangalore city corporation limits about the importance of segregating the waste to biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste. The events target the young and the old alike who can bring the change at home, school and their surroundings. This project was amongst are top effective ones running for almost 3 months and witnessing participation from a huge number of citizens, officials, politicians and media.

OVERVIEW

With the slogan ‘Re-duce, re-use and re-cycle’ our volunteers and participating students went around their neighborhoods telling everyone they met about the segregation 60 campaign. Information on how to reduce and reuse was spread through different demonstrations and pamphlets. School children took pledges to make sure these things become part of their daily activities at home and school. They agreed and urged each other to spread the word among friends and family to keep the world a better place.
