Conduct outreach programmes, events, road shows and public programmes, educating and sensitizing the public on the negative impacts of pollution, thereby promoting upkeep of the environment.
Why?
This measure encompasses actions that promote awareness for the altered conditions in the surrounding. Awareness & behaviour change is an important component to manage the impacts, enhance adaptive capacity &reduce vulnerability. Public awareness is vital to increase enthusiasm & support, stimulate self-mobilisation & action, and mobilise local knowledge and resources.

LAWS AND RIGHTS
What?
Working to enforce unimplemented laws through PIL, filing RTIs and research on laws and policies related to pollution.
Why?
The constitution of India clearly states to ‘protect & improve the environment & to safeguard the forests and wildlife of the country. It imposes a duty on every citizen to protect and improve the natural environment. The umbrella of environmental legislation covers many laws and regulations, but the goal is common to mitigate pollution. APD gives more flesh to the concept by emphasising on the existing laws and rights to help in achieving sustainable development in all dimensions.

PUBLIC HEALTH & RESEARCH & STRATEGY
What?
The science & art of preventing diseases, prolonging life and promoting human health through organised efforts and informed choices of society, organisations, public & private, communities and individuals by investigating the impacts of pollution on personal health of various groups. Also working towards pilot interventions and research both independently & in collaboration with other think-tanks.
Why?
In a world that is pacing ahead with no bounds it is important to revolutionise & remain updated on the cutting edge technology which can minimise pollution and hence keep the same at bay with constructive and innovative methodologies. This is considered as an interdisciplinary concentration through which a transparent idea of a variety of issues, diseases, cross-cultural and international aspects of health can be analysed. It is vital in a country like India to have strong emphasis on Public Health.
