ABOUT SHUDDHA GAALI
The Shuddha Gali Project was conceived as a means to start a constructive conversation with the state pollution control board about air quality assessment. As part of an initial study to investigate the nature of air pollution in the coastal city of Mangaluru, this project was curated to analyse the air quality data and recognize the levels of air quality across 12 urban locations. The project was imagined to influence how government-led air quality assessment are conducted while pointing out areas where residents are highly vulnerable due to rising air pollution.
WHY SHUDDHA GAALI ?
This project aims to understand and analyse the Air quality in Mangaluru city. In addition to this, it will help bridge the gap in understanding the issue and enable appropriate action from the Government and Citizens alike. It was a study initiated and co-ordinated by Anti-Pollution Drive (APD) Foundation and supported by St. Georges Homeopathy Inc. in an attempt to guide further steps towards being able to mitigate air pollution from its sources.
