The essence of a clean city lies in the sanctity of sanitation. Hygiene is a major determinant of a city’s development index as well as public health at the lowest level.

Apart from creating healthy and clean environments, sanitation refers to drainage, clean drinking water, clearing garbage and providing adequate hygiene in the city. The municipal authorities have always been on a mission to create healthy environments in their respective boundaries, just to ensure sanitation to all it’s citizens.

Adequate sanitation are indispensable for healthy ecosystems, reducing poverty, and achieving inclusive growth, social well-being and sustainable livelihoods. We have committed our work towards the UN SDG on Sanitation. We are commited to focus on sanitation of essential human resources. Clean and sanitized environment are preconditions to life and together we must put a greater focus on these human rights.

In a nation of billions, making sanitation facilities available to everyone can be a challenge. After all, clean drinking water and access to sanitation facilities become every human being’s fundamental right. With the available resources, a certain discipline in implementing plans favorable to the atmosphere is of utmost importance. In order to do the needful, quick actions must be complemented with the ability to finish them.

A simple step towards keeping the city clean can take a leap forward when it comes to sanitation facilities. One right move can null out the ill-effects of ten. The fact that the city needs sanitation is but rhetoric. Several lags in the system is only corrigible through extensive teamwork and individual zeal.
